Timberline Restoration Update

Field studies by an expert hydrologist question the conclusions of the Timberline Bike Park EA. Jon Rhodes made several studies of the impact area both before and after the restoration efforts that were done last summer.

Based on his studies, Rhodes concluded that the Forest Service greatly exaggerated the results that a restoration project would have on off-setting the new sedimentation that would be caused by the proposed mountain bike complex.

Rhodes also evaluated the restoration efforts that were done last summer, and found that for the most part they were ineffective.

The Crag Law Center initiated the hydrology study, and released a report which includes the complete details. Read the report, which includes links to the Rhodes documents, here.
